Praia Da Luz is a delightful village that’s ideal for family or couples’ holidays with a superb sandy beach, a beautiful pedestrian promenade, supermarkets, shops, pubs, cafes and a wide range of first class restaurants. There is also a cinema, bank, post office, internet cafe and DVD rental shop, as well as English-speaking medical and dental practices.
Situated in the unspoilt Western Algarve, it is a 50-minute drive from Faro International Airport, and only a 10-minute drive from the historical town of Lagos. Excellent local amenities include water sports, golf and horse riding. Luz is also ideally located to visit the nearby mountains of Monchique, Europe’s most south-westerly point at Cape St Vincent, and the rugged West Coast of Portugal with its golden-sanded windsurfing beaches. Also within easy driving distance are such attractions as the Zoo Marine, water parks, Lagos Zoo and the bustling town of Portimao.
